- Description
- Pre-Announcement Procurement related to the construction and extension of vocational training centers financed by the CHARAKA Fund of Agence MCA-Morocco. On November 30, 2015, the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco concluded a second cooperation program (Compact II) with the United States Government, represented by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), with the objective to improve the quality of human capital and land productivity. The budget allocated by MCC to Compact II, which came into effect on June 30, 2017, amounts to 450 million dollars, to which is added a contribution of the Moroccan Government of a value equivalent to at least 15% of the American contribution. The global budget will finance, over a period of five years, two projects, namely ""Education and Training for Employability"" and ""Land Productivity"", the implementation of which has been entrusted to the Millennium Challenge Account - Morocco (Agence MCA-Morocco). Agence MCA-Morocco intends to launch, in the coming weeks, a call for tenders divided into several lots, for the completion of infrastructure works for fifteen (15) projects for the creation and extension of vocational training in ten (10) cities of the Kingdom of Morocco, in this case: Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, Tangier, Ouezzane, Chefchaouen, Oujda, Beni Mellal, Had Soualem and Ouarzazate. The tender documents will be published on the MCA-Morocco Agency's website: www.mcamorocco.ma. The nature of the planned works is as follows: Construction works for new buildings, all building construction trades; Rehabilitation works of existing buildings; Demolition and extension work on existing buildings. Also, the planned infrastructure works consist, for information only, of grading, demolitions, rehabilitations, protection of unstable slopes, flood protection, structural works, carpentry works, painting works, installation waterproofing, electrical work, floor and wall covering work, exterior fittings, etc. It is important to emphasize in this regard that the total budget for the above-mentioned works is estimated at forty-two (42) million US Dollars and the maximum time for completion of the works must not exceed 18 months from the notification of the order of the start of work service for each lot.
