Description

This is a Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime Intends to Award a FFP Contract. This synopsis publication satisfies the requirement at FAR Part 5.2 and constitutes the Governments Notice of Intent to award a source award to CHANT ENGINEERING CO., INC.in New Britain PA. The requirement is to provide socketing machine System (propriety to the OEM). The government Intends to solicit from ONLY CHANT ENGINEERING CO., INC.. The anticipated award date is April 7, 2020. Federal Supply Class/ Service Code: 3625 North American Industry Classification Code: 333249 Size Standard - Number of Employees:� 500 � ACQUISITION APPROACH:�� This action will be awarded in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. CHANT ENGINEERING CO., INC.is the only reasonable source for this action in support of this requirement. CHANT ENGINEERING CO., INC. is the only known source whom currently has the institutional knowledge necessary to Manufacture these items. No set asides have been determined at this time. REQUIREMENTS: Any response to this notice shall provide clear and convincing evidence that competition of this action would not result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government. Interested and responsible sources may submit a no more than (10) page capability statement demonstrate the ability to not only meet the government's needs, but also show clear evidence that equipment will not be interrupted. Responses shall be received no later than 2 pm EST of April 6th. The above described capability statements shall be submitted to Amanda Milan at Amanda.Milan@dla.mil In accordance with FAR 5.102 (e), upon request within the specified response period listed herein, the Contracting Officer may provide copies of the solicitation to firms requesting it that were not originally solicited. Responses to this solicitation may be considered by the agency. Any response shall be submitted by April 6th 2020.
