- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, intends to negotiate with Space Dynamics Laboratory located in North Logan UT, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), soliciting from a single source to acquire services for a Physicist in Support for the Time Scale and Primary and Secondary Frequency Standards. The Contract Period of Performance is 12 months after Receipt of Award. ��� Space Dynamics Laboratory is uniquely qualified to provide the required services. Space Dynamics Laboratory possess extensive experience in the NIST time scale configurations and data formats for Atomic Time 1 and Katherine Gebbie A. Is able to participate in the daily time scale maintenance, assist division colleagues with NIST time scale upgrades, including the links between buildings, improve environment control, and updating time scale software and data acquisition. The NAICS Code is 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, with a small business size standard of $15 Million. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price contract to Space Dynamics Laboratory for this requirement. Interested parties that can demonstrate they could satisfy the requirement listed above for NIST must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. If competitive procedures are not used it is estimated that an award will be issued by May 16, 2020. All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted to angela.hitt@nist.gov no later than April 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. MST.
