Description
This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for informational and planning purposes only. NAVSUP WSS is seeking information from the industry to assist with acquisition planning due to an increased demand of shaft procurements for various US. Navy ship classes identified below: DDG 51 Intermediate and Stern Tube Shafts LPD Intermediate and Stern Tube Shafts LSD Intermediate Shaft LHDs/LHAs Intermediate, Propeller and Stern Tube Shafts The shaft manufacturing will be in accordance with the attached SOW sample (DDG stern tube shaft). The anticipated NAICS Code for these requirements is 336611� Turbine and Turbine Generator Set Units Manufacturing and the Size Standard is 1,250 employees. The government intends to solicit these requirements using full and open competition. � NAVSUP WSS is seeking the following information: Potential sources to manufacture shafts (name, address, business size standard) Capability statement including any teaming or subcontracting opportunities Average production lead times for the shafts identified above and potential incentives to reduce the delivery timeframe. How many shaft projects can your company handle at any given time Feedback on the sample Statement of Work (SOW) Any resultant solicitation will be released to Contract Opportunities via beta.SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Responses are requested no later than 06 April 2020 at 1300 EST.� Responses shall be submitted via e-mail only to Michael Lindgren at Michael.lindgren1@navy.mil.
