Description
This is a sources sought. This announcement is in support of market research to determine the feasibility of a competitive acquisition and to identify potential sources that can provide the Maintenance and Overhaul of the following item: NOMENCLATURE: =========================== INPUT NSN: 1680-01-120-7641 OUTPUT NSN: 1680-01-120-7641 INPUT P/N: 145CS114-2 OUTPUT P/N: 145CS114-2 ESTIMATED QUANTITY RANGE: Minimum 30 each � Maximum 516 each (Maximum includes a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Quantity of 86 each) The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. The Actuator, Electro-ME is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 55-1680-289, revision date: 07/19/2013, is adequate to support the overhaul of the Actuator, Electro-ME; however, because this item is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) upgrade/overhaul can only be performed by an approved source. Currently the only known approved sources for the overhaul of the Actuator, Electro-ME, are The Boeing Company (CAGE: 77272) and Professional Aircraft Accessories Inc. (PAA) CAGE: 08XL0). Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate�s Shopping List procedures. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This announcement does not constitute a RFP. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requested. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this announcement or Government use of any information provided. This announcement does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition strategy. The Government reserves the right to consider acquisition strategies as deemed appropriate.
