Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS A REQUEST FOR SF330s. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified Architect-Engineering (AE) firm to provide Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Technical Specifications, Construction Period Services, Site Visits, Cost Estimates, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information for Project # 659-20-204 IT Operations Fiber Upgrade at the Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. This procurement is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. This requirement is being procured in accordance with the Brooks Act as implemented in FAR Subpart 36.6. Applicable NAICS code is 541330 and small business size standard of $16.5 Million. The magnitude of Construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set Aside. The anticipated award date of the proposed A-E Contract is on or before June 24, 2020. Potential contractors must be registered in SAM (www.sam.gov) and visible/certified in Vet Biz (www.vetbiz.gov) at time of submission of their qualifications in order to be considered for an award. As a prospective offeror for this Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside, you are verifying your company meets the status requirements of a SDVOSB concern as established by 38 CFR Part 74. LOCATION This Project will take place in various buildings at the Salisbury VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue Salisbury, NC 28144. General Scope This project will consist of upgrading existing IT backbone fiber optic network from core network switches to OIT Telecom Rooms and network switch locations at the W.G. Hefner VA. The project will cover twenty-seven (27) buildings on our campus. Each building has a different range of the locations but at a minimum there will be one (1) room up to fifteen (15) per building that will be renovated. Through verification of site, account for possibility of 10% addition of number of locations required. Specifics: Existing Areas in Buildings applicable for this project: Building 1 minimum one room Building 2 minimum seven rooms Building 3 minimum five rooms Building 4 minimum six rooms Building 5 minimum one room Building 6 minimum two rooms Building 7 minimum two rooms Building 8 minimum three rooms Building 11 minimum one room Building 11A minimum one room Building 11B minimum one room Building 11C minimum one room Building 12 minimum one room Building 13 minimum one room Building 14E minimum one room Building 14W minimum one room Building 15 minimum one room Building 16 minimum one room Building 17 minimum one room Building 18 minimum one room Building 19 minimum one room Building 20 minimum two rooms Building 21 minimum six rooms Building 21A minimum one room Building 21B minimum one room Building 42 minimum eleven rooms Building 43 minimum one room Design will be to upgrade existing backbone fiber optic network from OM1 to 40GbE to all OIT Telecom Rooms / Network Switch Locations. Requirement to remove legacy OM1 fiber after cutover to 40GbE backbone is complete. Individual drawing layout sets and cost estimates to be created and grouped per building. Specifications will be created as one set for all but will include any Building specific specialties required that are identified.
