Description
Performance Work Statement (PWS) Project:� Remove Existing Heating Water Boiler and Replace with New High Efficiency Boiler in Room 22 of Building 544700B004 for Greenhouses GENERAL INFORMATION � ������ Performance Work Statement: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, material and coordination required to replace the gas-fired heating water boiler in room 22 of building 544700B004 for Greenhouses. The new boiler is 1.5M BTU, 97 percent efficiency, it is 67� long and 35� wide foot print, 8 inch intake and exhaust also material can be CPVC, polypropylene or stainless steel, operating gas pressure is fielding set at startup with manufacture requirement of min 4� WC and max 14� WC. The new boiler should be Thermal Solutions AMP 1500- High Efficiency or equivalent to. Work includes replacing the existing boiler with high efficient boiler, piping shall be insulated after leak tested, boiler should functionality tested to provide the designed amount of heating water for building demand and contractor shall perform any integration services necessary to insure functionality and compatibility with new equipment. All work shall adhere to manufacturer guidelines. Also follow state, local and federal regulations and codes. ������ Background: �Boiler has reached its expected life and needs replacement. � CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS � 3.0��� Technical Requirements/Tasks: ����� Demo & remove old boiler ����� Pour new pad for existing pump and chemical feeder ����� Relocate existing pump, chemical feeder, air separator and expansion tank ����� Furnish and install new high efficient hot water boiler ������ Furnish and install new fresh air intake and exhaust for new boiler ������ Furnish and install all hydronic materials to install new boiler ����� Furnish and install all gas materials to fuel new boiler ����� All piping should be Insulated when work is complete ������� Contactor should provide start-up report and provide warranty 4.0������ Government Furnished: � ����������� Access to the Boiler Areas shall be coordinated with the Location Monitor � 5.0��� Deliverables / Schedule: �Submittals on the New Boilers shall be made to the Government to show the Contractor�s Quality Assurance that the new boilers meet the specifications and requirements for a turnkey installation and operation, with minimal down time of the Heating Water System. Government has up to two weeks to review the Quality Assurance Complete Submittal, and the Contractor has one week for responses to the Government�s review comments �������� B. Submittal on Schedule of Boiler Deliveries, and Boiler Installations with Startups � Item No. � Deliverable � Objective � Due 1 Replace existing boiler with new high efficient boiler Replace obsolete boilers with new efficient boilers for maintaining comfort of research facilities 365 days. 2 Weekly Status Report To coordinate building operations and occupants with the boiler shutdowns and startups. Weekly when work on site is planned. � � 6.0����� Travel: �Not applicable � 7.0 �� Contractor�s Key Personnel:� ��� On site Superintendent�s name. ��� Operator�s certification or license on equipment that operates over buildings or personnel. 8.0��� Security Requirements: �All personnel shall have a U.S. photo ID, such as U.S. Driver�s License, or U.S. passport. 9.0��� Data Rights: �Not Applicable. 10.0� Section 508 � Electronic and Information Technology Standards: Operations and Maintenance Manuals in adobe format. � � �
