- Description
- he Department of State Office of Acquisitions Management, on behalf ofInformation Resource Management Messaging Systems Officeissues this special notice of its intent ofa sole source purchase order withDLT SOLUTIONSforSMG LICENSE AND WARRANTY RENEWAL. IRM/OPS/MSOhas identifiedDLT SOLUTIONSas the only company capable of meeting the bureau's specific system requirements, including: DLT provides Symantec licensing with support. Their support is critical to our operations of this product, due to the proprietary factors of this installation. DLT has 500 hours of onsite infrastructure design, hardware, and installation knowledge. DLT engineers are highly proficient in the modified Dell servers, used as the baseline hardware for the SMG 8380 Controller, and the SMG 8360 Scanning servers.? This proficiency is critical to their Tier III on-call support of the non-standard secure UNIX OS installed on both controllers and scanners.? DLT has worked closely with DoS engineers and programmers from three Divisions (MD, MSMC, and EML) creating the custom application configurations applied to the Symantec product. Their engineers were also our consulting source for design decisions adapting the SMG application for operations with our DoSMicroSoftExchange and major SMART messaging application connectivity, within a BizTalk inter-organizational middleware core architecture. This design understanding is critical in addressing upgrades and outages relating to problems routing and scanning packets between exchange and BizTalk. DLT engineers have critical insight of SMART POP3 routing to our global messaging clients, including front-end SMTP relay servers and internal firewall protections existing around the operation of the SMG product.? This insight has been invaluable in ensuring data protection during many hours of telephone consultation due to changing malware protections, and advanced content filtering requirements, as directed by NSA.? ?? The period of performance for this requirement will be 3/13/2020 through 3/12/2021.
