- Description
- The proposed contract action is to determine the extent of eelgrass Zostera Marina in and around the Moss Landing Federal Navigation channel before and after the proposed FY 2020 maintenance dredging episode. To comply with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, the District needs to assess the effects of the dredging on Essential Fish Habitat (EFH). The data collected from the pre-and post- dredge surveys will be analyzed to determine if there is a significant net loss of eelgrass resulting from the increased turbidity levels induced by the maintenance. A summary report will compare the results of previous eelgrass with the results of the pre-and post-dredge surveys. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary provide to conduct the eelgrass surveys. USACE intends to solicit as a WOSB set-aside, under the authority of FAR 19.15, using FAR 13 procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes; however, all information received after date of publication of this synopsis may be considered by the Government.
