- The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) announces the sole source contract award to Imperial Parking for parking services located in the garage attached to the building at 77 K Street, NE, Washington, DC with a value of $3,124,978.00.� This contract was awarded with authority granted under the Federal Employees Retirement System Act of 1986, 5 U.S.C. �?8474.� The contract supports the Agency�s critical infrastructure in which to house the vast majority of its Federal staff, and support contractors. The combination of staff and on-site contractors are needed to support the daily operations of the TSP. The Agency solicits 100 parking spaces for employees and 1 for the Executive Director. In addition, the Agency will validate parking for visitors to the building as necessary. There are unusual circumstances relating to the building. The building structure is unusual in that the parking existed before the building did, and the building lessor (Brookfield) and the parking space manager (Imperial) are two separate and distinct entities which did not allow for the Agency to include parking in its lease of the building. The Agency�s acquisition strategy to support the planned award of parking services is to award a multiple-year sole source contract for the following requirement to ensure services are maintained and coincide with the building lease which is expected to be complete in�September of 2025.� Previous Contract Number:�TIB-2014-P-0020 Contract Title:�Parking Services Period of Performance:�11/1/2019 � 09/30/2025 Service Provider:�Imperial Parking New Contract Number:� TIB-2020-C-0001 Amount: $3,124,978.00 The Imperial parking contract will replace the previous contract identified above. �Until it is implemented, the Agency�s focus is to stabilize and minimize any changes to its current parking services to avoid jeopardizing the new procurement and a lapse in services.
