Pre-Solicitation Notice Solicitation No: 36C252-20-R-0063 Project: Taylor Elevator Modernization Project Number: 537-19-101 Location: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois This Pre-Solicitation Notice is NOT a request for submittals of any kind. The information provided is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a request for proposal. This construction project will be set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Businesses (SDVOSBs). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), at the time of submission of offers/quotes, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB listed as verified in VIP database at: https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. The Jesse Brown VA Medical Center has a requirement to modernize obsolete passenger and freight elevators at the Taylor Pavilion at the Jesse Brown VAMC. The contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items designated in accordance with the specifications and drawings that will be provided to complete Project # 537-19-101: Taylor Elevator Modernization at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located at 820 S. Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60612. This elevator modernization project shall include elevator alteration, electrical, installation, replacement, and repairs. Therefore, each Offeror will be required to provide an Elevator Contractor License. The project magnitude price range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement will be 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a size standard of $16.5 Million. The project is scheduled to have a period of performance of four hundred forty-five (445) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation is planned to be posted to Beta Sam at https://beta.sam.gov/ in April 2020. The proposals will be due (via email) to the Contracting Office approximately 30 days after the solicitation is posted. A pre-offer conference/site walk-through will be conducted for this project and the time and date will be announced in the solicitation. All prospective offerors are strongly encouraged to attend.
