- This notice is prepared in accordance with FAR 5.207 and is not a request for quote (RFQ). This is a notice of the Government's intent to award one (1) purchase order with firm-fixed prices to Parascientific, Inc., 4500, 148th Ave. NE, Redmond, WA 98052-5194, on a sole source basis for the purchase of pressure sensors and counter interface boards in support of the Deep-Ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunamis (DART�) for the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), National Weather Service (NWS). Twenty (20) of the model 410K-272 temperature compensated, shock mount housing, stainless steel buffer tube, with HIP taper seal fitting pressure sensor. Six (6) of the model 410K-LV-319 temperature compensated, shock mount housing, stainless steel buffer tube, low power electronics, electrically isolated buffer tube with HIP taper seal fitting pressure sensor. Six (6) of part number 2379-001 intelligent Kit interface board that converts the frequency output of the pressure sensors into engineering units in RS-232 format. The previously listed items are commercial items in accordance with FAR 2.101 and are used by the NDBC to provide early reporting and warnings of tsunamis in the Pacific Ocean and in other oceans. Delivery is 16-24 weeks ARO for all of the listed items. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Set-aside Status: The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(ii), Only one responsible source. The Contracting Officer has determined that there is not a reasonable expectation of obtaining offers from two or more responsible small business concerns; therefore, this requirement has not been set aside for small businesses.� Interested parties are advised that the minimum qualifying standards for technical acceptability are as follows: All responsible sources may submit a capability statement�by 2:00pm Central Time,�April 3, 2020. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the requirement. A capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NOAA to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements.� Anticipated date of award: on or before April 9, 2020.�
