Description
Synopsis:� This is not a solicitation.� This is a special notice of intent to sole source. This special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 ""Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions."" The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District intends to award a firm-fixed-price service contract to Centric Elevators of Oregon. The purpose of this acquisition is for the maintenance of elevators located in seven (7) dams throughout the Willamette Valley, Oregon for a six (6) month period.� Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings as a result of the corona virus (COVID 19) a site-visit is not possible. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 41 U.S.C. � 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) � Soliciting from a Single Source. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 811310. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is $8,000,000.00. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government by submitting written acknowledgement that all the elevator�maitenance work required in the attached draft PWS�are supported through your firm and that your firm is able to submit a proposal without a site visit (due to COVID 19 gathering restrictions). If no affirmative written responses are received by 4:00 PM Pacific Time on 9 April 2020,� an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Electronic responses and questions shall be submitted via email to the contracting point of contact listed below. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
