Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business vendors. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. The West Virginia Air National Guard, Martinsburg, WV has been tasked to solicit for and award the following project: Perform all major preventive maintenance checks on four (4) HAAS CNC Machines, recommended by the machine manufacturer. Include a Renishaw ball bar service and comprehensive diagnostic report prepared by a factory trained technician that gives an overall assessment of machine performance (circularity). Repair (1) Haas TL-2 SN# 3086289. � Haas Model Numbers and Serial Numbers are as follows: � Haas VF-4 / 1073645 Haas TM-2 / 1073048 Haas TL-2 / 3086289 Haas SL-30 / 3078058 Provide one (1) preventive maintenance service that will include the performance of all major maintenance checks recommended by the machine manufacturer listed below. � Mechanical System Check machine level Verify spindle sweep � Check gear shift operation* � Check spindle lube and air blast � Check spindle orientation alignment � Check shot pin operation* � Change gearbox oil � Check backlash in X, Y, and Z-axis � Inspect drive belts � Inspect and adjust tool changer system � Inspect spindle taper condition � Inspect way covers & wipers � Check draw bar height � Inspect rigid tap encoder operation* � Check tool change operation � Clean/lubricate tool changer � Inspect counterbalance system � Inspect lines, hoses and cables � Way Lube System � Clean filters � Inspect lines and fittings � Check operation � Verify lube/pump operation � Coolant System: Remove/check pump and motor, (Inspect or Clean coolant tank and replace ������coolant as needed) � Air System: Replace filters, Check pressure/adjust regulator, Inspect system for leaks � Electrical System: Check voltages, clean electrical cabinet, Inspect connections/terminals and grounds � Inspect or replace tool change relays � Replace or clean fan filter � Check limit switches/safety locks � Inspect motor brushes, clean & remove brush dust � Lathe Only: Verify turret/spindle alignment Contractor shall perform a Renishaw ball bar service. Contractor shall provide the Government with a comprehensive diagnostic report that gives an overall assessment of machine performance (circularity). This diagnostic report shall be prepared by a factory trained technician. Contractor will replace Maincon CCA processor, install software, parameters, option codes and check all machine functions on the TL-2, SN 3086289. Special Qualifications: Contractor must be a qualified HAAS certified technician. The contractor must be thoroughly familiar with and comply with all Federal Regulations as well as state, county, and city regulations for all materials used and the application thereof. The contractor will also be required to abide by all OSHA and base safety and fire regulations. Proposed project will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The type of solicitation issued will depend upon the responses to this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of all interested parties to compete and perform a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 10 April 2020, 2:00 PM EST. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include a (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Sources Sought Information Request Form (attached to this posting) and (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for Government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included. Indicate whether you were a prime contractor or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
