Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY WITH INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. SCOPE OF WORK Contractor will provide design for programing, and service seventy-five (75) Motorola APX6000 700/800Mhz and two (2) Motorola APX4500 700/800Mhz series radios and all associated equipment to manufacture specifications. Design will ensure all radios are equipped with FIPS 140-2 encryption. Design will ensure Interoperability with existing infrastructure, specifically the ability to deploy new radio firmware, code plugs, and other items. Design will ensure all radios are programmed with VA approved Public Safety radio frequencies and ensure they have the approved Motorola License/Hex Keys for all public safety frequencies registered with the VA and the State of North Carolina. Design will validate and ensure VA Police Motorola Code Plugs are up to date and current before programming all radios. Design will provide system configuration and programming for all equipment. Motorola Engineering has tested Radio Frequency for our radios throughout the Hospital campus and based on this testing has preliminary designed a Fiber BDA Distributed Antenna system to specifically provide our Radio coverage to those in-building areas that requires RF enhancement. This design contract is to validate the testing and finalize the design of the BDA distribution Antenna system. Currently, Motorola Systems are installed in both the Charlotte and Kernersville Health Care Centers, to include the Salisbury VAMC. Due to the investment already made by the Government to Motorola, it would cause great procedural and financial burden on the Government to attempt to engage another radio manufacture for this purpose.
