Notice of Intent to Sole Source THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference#: N0025920N0039. Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government�s needs, to: Philips Medical Systems North America, Inc. 22100 Bothell Everett Highway Bothell, WA, 98021-8431 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219; the business size standard is $20,500,000. The objective of this sole source award is to procure Full Service Maintenance for (2) government owned Philips Volcano Core Imaging Systems to include base year and 4 option years. Service Maintenance includes all parts, materials, support equipment, calibration and labor charges in accordance with the statement of work for the equipment as listed below. (1) Philips Volcano Core Imaging System SN: 103020098733 (75121200); ECN: 144137 (1) Philips Volcano Core Imaging System SN: 007010538001(1220/154(75937379); ECN: 147426 � Location: � NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER SAN DIEGO RADIOLGY DEPARTMENT and BIOMEDICAL REPAIR DEPARTMENT. Philips Medical Systems North America, Inc. is the only source that can perform on-site calibration and service maintenance to the (2) government owned Philips Volcano Core Imaging Systems equipment. Contractor shall service and maintain the equipment within the original equipment specifications, in accordance with the US, State, and local laws and regulations, US Navy regulations, and Joint Commission requirements. Additionally, parts utilized in repairs must be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts/components in order to ensure maximal function and that liability and warranty on devices are intact. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work and are able to provide valid certification to provide service validated by Philips Medical Systems North America, Inc.� Capability statements shall not exceed 6 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point.� All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
