- �NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� This is not a solicitation or request for offers. �No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored.� Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Tescan-USA of Cranberry Township, PA to furnish: NRL has a requirement for a service contract for the Tescan Mira XMH V3 Scanning electron microscope (SEM). The Service contract shall span one year and cover the primary system and Tescan accessories including the Control Panel, Retractable YAG Detector, Automated Load lock, Scroll Pump and Turbomolecular pump. Only TESCAN USAA can provide service, and parts for this equipment.� In addition, only Tescan can provide service and updates for the control software and external Python Application programming interface (API). � ___x____ See Chart Below Line Item Description Quantity 001 Mira-3 XMH Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) 1 each 002 Motorized Retractable Scintillator BSED (G3 and G4) 1 each 003 Load Lock (Motorized, G3&G4, LM, XM GM) 1 each 004 Decontaminator Option (Eactrones) 1 each 005 Active Anti-Vibration System (Halcyonics) only for LM, SM SEM�s 1 each 006 Control Panel 1 each 007 High Performance PC-Surcharge 1 each 008 Scroll Pump 1 each 009 Turbomolecular Pump, Large 1 each The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 811219 with the size standard of large.� �The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product service Code (PSC) procurement is J059. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.� Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within fifteen (15) calendar days of the publication of this notice.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
