Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement opens the solicitation. Quotes are being requested. This is notice of this agencys intent to issue a firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, other than full and open competition and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 48 CFR 12.603. The agencys minimum needs can only be satisfied the unique supplies or services available from Woodward, Inc. (CAGE Code: 66503). No other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Solicitation number SPE4A2-20-R-X023 is issued as a request for quote under to acquire NSN 2915-01-195-5291 under a sole source, long-term contract for a performance period of one year to include four option periods exercisable in one-year increments. Responsible sources who consider themselves qualified to manufacture or legitimately obtain the above listed item are invited to quote. Traceability is required for all offerors quoting as a dealer. Letters expressing interest as a subcontractor should be sent to the buyer noted on the solicitation for forwarding to the identified OEM. If other NSNs are subsequently added, as defined by the terms of the contract, they will be synopsized separately. If your company desires to be reviewed and qualified as an ""Approved Source"" for this item, submit an application package through the Source Approval Request (SAR) Program as outlined in the JACG SAM HB document. A SAR package contains all of the technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality, or better, than the required item. The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item, which DLA Aviation is procuring.
