Description
SHORT TITLE: USS JASON DUNHAM (DDG-109) MK 32 SVTT RAC PIERSIDE REFURBISHMENT SUPPORT. 1.� PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:� ���� Start Date:� 6/1/20 ���� Completion Date: 5/31/21 2.� PLACE(S) OF PERFORMANCE: a. Contractor�s Facilities b. MARMC and Naval Station Norfolk ������������� c. BAE d. USS JASON DUNHAM (DDG-109) 3. DESCRIPTION OF TASK: The contractor shall provide technical and engineering services to Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 287. 3.1 The contractor shall provide technical support personnel, and material and services to refurbish two MK-32 SVTT Torpedo Tube mounts, one Torpedo Loading Tray and two HP air charging hoses currently on USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109).� 3.1.1 The contractor shall conduct MK-32 SVTT pre-testing IAW applicable MIP/MRC, recording all conditions found.� The contractor shall report all conditions found to the SME. 3.2 The contractor shall prepare (this will include disconnecting of all power sources and terminate disconnected cables to protect them from the elements), remove from the ship, transport to the contractor�s facility and return to the ship and support post testing for two MK-32 SVTT mounts, one Torpedo Loading Tray and two air charging hoses. 3.2.1 Contractor shall install government furnished deck covers and secure with a minimum of six bolts in each cover. 3.2 2 During reinstallation and posttest, the contractor shall verify proper operation of MK-32 Torpedo Tube mounts and conduct post-testing IAW applicable MIP/MRC.� The contractor shall record all test results and provide one copy to the SME. Post testing shall be witnessed by the SME and Ships Force.� Ships Force acceptance signature is required by E-7 or above. 3.2.3 The contractor shall troubleshoot and restore all operational discrepancies noted during post testing until a 100 percent successful operation is achieved.� NOTE: Ships Force is responsible to ensure fire control inputs and flask charging systems are proper and functional, including charging system pressure testing certifications and calibrations. 3.3 The contractor shall disassemble, assess, repair/restore and reassemble two MK-32 SVTT Torpedo Tube mounts, one Torpedo Tube Loading Tray and two HP air charging hoses IAW applicable paragraph 4.1 references. Annotate all conditions found and provide a completed copy to the SME. 3.3.1 The contractor shall provide the SME 24-hour notice of government checkpoint requirements as identified in paragraph 4.1 (a). If the government does not arrive in time to support the checkpoint the contractor shall continue with work as planned and advise the SME of the results. 3.4 The contractor shall paint the MK-32 SVTT launchers and Torpedo Loading IAW paragraph 4.1 (b). Paint thickness will be determined by use of NIST 2735A-18 MIL Gauge. 3.5 The contractor shall remove existing and install new government provided PCMS tiles/material as required IAW paragraph 4.1 (c, d). 3.6 The contractor shall inspect all quadrants, repair and resurface as required by MARMC, accomplish IAW paragraph 4.1 (e). The contractor shall run a bore gauge through each torpedo barrel after completion of work IAW paragraph 4.1 (f), a bore gauge test is required after completion of quadrant work IAW paragraph 4.1 (e). 3.6.1 If the quadrant(s) are resurfaced the contractor will paint quadrants to a Wet Film thickness of 8-10 mils, wet sand with 400 grit to achieve finial paint thickness. 3.7 The contractor shall hydro, drop test, and fire the torpedo breeches after completion of work IAW paragraph 4.1 (g, h) as required, the contractor shall refurbish and hydro charging hoses IAW paragraph 4.1 (g) as required. 3.8. The contractor (as directed by MARMC) shall Anodize / Passivate parts identified (by MARMC) in 4.1 (i) as directed by the government IAW drawings provided in paragraph 4.1 (j) using paragraph 4.1 (k) for guidance. 3.9 The contractor shall provide machine services to finish Manifolds (6 pcs) (as needed) delivered with minor incomplete aspects resulting from manufacturing process to bring into compliance with paragraph 4.1 (l).� 3.10 The contractor shall drill and ream dowel pin holes when installing new Stationary Bases IAW paragraph 4.1 (m) if required. 3.11 The contractor shall provide welding service as required to support overhaul of the MK-32 SVTT. Level of effort estimated to be 16 hours. 3.12 The contractor shall order the items listed in paragraph 4.1 (n) Incidental Parts List 4. Personnel performing classified work or requiring access to classified material or spaces under this task order shall possess both a DOD security clearance at the appropriate (or higher) level and the need to know. 8.
