Description
The United States Department of Transportation/Maritime Administration intends to use this Solicitation/RFP (693JF720R000010)to select a contractor for the Decommissioning and License Termination of the Nuclear Ship Savannah, which is located in Baltimore, Maryland. See the attached RFP for details of this Solicitation; the attached file, which contains the RFP is titled ""RFP Number 693JF720R000010"". Attached with this RFP is the Use Restriction Agreement Form; potential Offerors are required to execute the said agreement in order to gain access to the portal, where the remaining RFPs attachments (Section J Attachments)are stored. Although the said RFP attachments are not physically attached to this RFP, there contents are fully incorporated to this RFP by reference. At the time of this posting, the NS SAVANNAH pre-proposal conference will be held, as scheduled, 03/17/2020 03/18/2020, in Baltimore, MD. (See L.1 of the RFP.) MARAD is following the official guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)and official direction of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM)for federal employees applicable for protective measures to mitigate transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Our priority is the safety and health of Government employees, and our valued industry partners. To protect the health and safety of all participants, we will institute the following: The meeting site for the conference will be cleaned and sanitized, and hand sanitizers will be provided throughout the vessel. All participants (Government and attendees) will be reminded to limit physical contact, as much as practicable.(Ex., no handshakes, etc.) For the briefing scheduled for the afternoon of 03/17, we will make every attempt to arrange for teleconferencing and/or video conferencing. (Information will be provided here prior to the conference.) Walk throughs scheduled for 03/18 will take place, on a small group basis, to maximize social distancing (maintaining distances of 3 6 feet). Video recording by the attendees will also be allowed to maximize data collection. As much as practicable, during any waiting period during the conference, attendees will be separated into various locations throughout the vessel in order to avoid congregating as large groups. To further the success of social distancing, we ask that you limit your attendees to the minimum number required to reasonably assure the collection of the information necessary for proposal preparation. There will be limited Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)at the conference site. Therefore, attendees are strongly encouraged to bring your own complete set of PPE if possible, including gloves, hand sanitizer, etc. As recommended by the CDC, we respectfully request that anyone who is infected with the virus, is suspected of being infected, is quarantined, is self-isolating, or caring for family members who are infected or suspected of being infected, refrain from attending any aspect of the conference event, in-person. As our leadership continues to diligently track Federal guidance, please continue to monitor beta.sam.gov for official updates related to this requirement.
