- N00164-20-S-NB43 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT � .50 Caliber Projectiles to be used in all .50 Caliber weapon systems showing improved armor penetration and/or extended range � FSC � 1305 � NAICS-332992 Issue Date: 13 March 2020 � Closing Date: 08 April 2020� - 2:00 PM EDT The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane, IN is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of market research in accordance with FAR 15.201(e.) and FAR 10.001(a)(3)(i) to determine if sources have new projectiles that demonstrate improved dispersion compared to current .50 caliber projectiles and/or excellent terminal effects. At a minimum, the following information needs to be addressed in response to the RFI: Description of the projectile Projectile materials Projectile construction Describe any distinctive feature that enhances the projectile performance State whether the projectile either improves dispersion, terminal effects, or both Range data Armor penetration data Basic Projectile Dimensions (i.e. weight, length, diameter) Any pertinent testing data showing projectile�s ability Budgetary cost estimate Lead time/delivery schedule Availability Responses to the Market Survey shall include the following: Submitter�s name Street address, City, State, Zip code Business Size and category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.) Website address (if applicable) DUNS number Cage code, and/or Tax ID number Government representative(s) Point of Contract (POC) POC Telephone and email address Announcement Number: N00164-20-S-NB43 Responses shall be submitted in the following format: Electronic (Adobe pdf or Microsoft Word) format Not exceed ten pages in length In 11 or 12-point, Times New Roman with normal (condensed) spacing Margins of 1� or greater on all sides Submitted via email Responses shall NOT be submitted using marketing materials. All information received that includes proprietary markings will be handled in accordance with applicable statutes and regulations.� Responses to this notice will not be returned.� An acknowledgement of receipt will be provided for all responses received.� If you do not receive an acknowledgement within two (2) working days, please notify the points of contact listed in this notice. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts.� This notice is not a Request for Proposals.� Reponses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.� This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Government.� Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this notice.� Respondents are wholly responsible for any costs or expenses associated with submitting a response.� No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any further requests for information relating to a response.� Respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice.� The information obtained from submitted responses may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy.
