- This Request for Information (RFI) is issued as market research.� All requirements identified in this RFI are tentative and will be finalized prior to the release of any solicitation.� The Government does not intend to award a contract or purchase order in response to this RFI or otherwise pay for the information submitted. The information provided is entirely voluntary and will not impact the ability to bid on future requirements.� This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered a request for proposal (RFP), request for quote (RFQ), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.� The information provided may be utilized by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in developing its acquisition strategy should a decision be made to proceed with acquiring the items/services listed in this RFI.� The information received in response to this RFI may be included in one or more future solicitations. The results of this RFI will assist in making the determination of whether or not this acquisition will be full and open or set aside for small business competition.� All responses shall include the following information: 1.� Company Name 2.� Business Size for subject NAICS 3.� Cage Code 4.� Details on which line items your company is able to provide and any applicable restrictions AFRL is seeking U.S. sources with the capability to provide the items/services listed in this RFI.� Responses are limited to 20 pages.� All replies are to be provided to the Contracting Specialist, Alvaro Guzman, alvaro.guzman.1@us.af.mil and the Contracting Officer, 1Lt. Andrew Ermitano, andrew.ermitano.1@us.af.mil.� All responses to this RFI must be received NO LATER THAN Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 16:00 p.m. PST. ***** CRYOGENIC OXYGEN COMPATIBLE PUMPS must meet the following requirements***** The Multiscale Rocket Engine Test (MRET) Facility is in need of cryogenic, oxygen compatible pumps.� These pumps must meet the following requirements Liquid oxygen compatible (may require remote panel) Able to pump 2 GPM of LOX Inlet conditions:� 10 psi, -320�F (approximate) Outlet conditions:� 10,000 psi Electrically powered, 3-phase, 460-480VAC, 60 Hz, 40HP Sealed, etc for outdoor service Automated chill-in sequence Remote operation & PLC control (send on/off signal and pump manages itself) Inlet connection NPT (preferred, Medium pressure acceptable), Outlet connection medium pressure (at least ��) Sufficient channels of pressure and temperature output to monitor pump operation and health during operation Additional safety features Relief vale with set point of 11,000 psi Automated pump cooldown monitoring (vapor return temperature) Integrated protection for discharge cavitation and pump seal leak Local e-stop Visible fault active indication (light stack preferred) Redundant shut down Nema-4 enclosure
