Synopsis for FMS LM2500 Power Turbine (PT) Assembly serial number PT035 and Gas Generator (GG) Assembly serial number GG143 Overhaul for Taiwan The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to complete the overhaul of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) LM2500 Power Turbine (PT) Assembly serial number PT035 and Gas Generator (GG) Assembly serial number GG143 to MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH, Dr.-Ernst-Zimmermann-Str. 2, D-14974 Lud3366wigsfelde, Germany.� Award of this sole source effort is anticipated in the 3rd quarter Government fiscal year 2020. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, MTU is the only firm capable of completing the FMS LM2500 PT035 and GG143 overhaul because it disassembled and inspected both of these items. Note: This action is separate from, and was not included in, and does not conflict with the Sources Sought for FMS LM2500 Overhauls posted to FedBizOps.gov on 6 September 2018 under solicitation number N0002418R4154. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may respond to this synopsis with a letter of capability and interest, or proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
