Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (FAR 13.106-1(b)(2)), soliciting from a single source. The proposed source is Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. of 7500 Centurion Parkway, Jacksonville, Fl. 32256. The requirement is for refractive surgery treatment cards and patient interface kits. The supplies shall be utilized to perform corneal refractive surgeries, including Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) surgeries, and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) procedures. The patient interface kits shall be designed and integrated with the currently installed Johnson and Johnson Vision Care Inc. (J&J Vision) iFS Advanced Femtosecond Laser Systems. The refractive surgery treatment cards shall function with the existing J&J Vision iFS Femtosecond laser systems and VISX Star4 IR eximer laser systems.� The proposed solution shall include treatment cards compatible with the currently installed J&J Vision femtosecond and excimer laser systems, and flap patient interface kits. The treatment cards shall be utilized to guide the excimer lasers to reshape the cornea. The patient interface kits shall be disposable and be utilized with the J&J Vision femtosecond lasers to create corneal flaps during LASIK surgeries. The proposed refractive surgery treatment cards and patient interface kits shall interface with the existing J&J Vision femtosecond and excimer laser systems of the MTFs. There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement.� The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339115.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.� However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product.� All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
