Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The submission of pricing, capabilities for planning purposes, and other market information is highly encouraged and allowed under this RFI In Accordance With (IAW) FAR Part 15.201(e). SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is an RFI/sources sought only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 325412 (size standard of 1,250 employees). Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 21 Network Contracting Office, on behalf of VA Palo Alto Health Care System, is seeking sources that can provide the brand name or equal requirement described below. Please note that these requirements are not finalized and is subject to change based on the responses to this RFI. The information identified below are intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. This Sources Sought is issued for the purpose of collecting information about the availability of name brand or equal products from different sources for the desired equipment listed in the Items required that meets the corresponding part number or description. Required PET-Radiopharmaceuticals: 18F-FDG 18F-NaF 18F Florbetapir (Amyvid) The contractor must be able to supply a wide variety of PET radiopharmaceuticals used in the evaluation of organ function and certain diseases. Routine orders are placed each day (Mon-Fri) for delivery the following business day. Two routine deliveries must be provided at no charge. For same-day emergency orders during normal business hours, deliveries must arrive within 60 minutes of order placement. Same-day emergency orders placed after normal business hours, including Saturday and Sunday, must arrive within 120 minutes of order placement. In the event that the requirements may be determined in advance, a longer delivery time may be scheduled accordingly. Contractor shall have available an adequate supply for contract products to meet the requirements of the VAPAHCS. Contractor must be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and be regularly established in the business of providing radiopharmaceuticals. Contractor must meet all Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Transportation, FDA, OSHA, and all other agency rules and regulations (Federal and State). PROCEDURES: This Sources Sought is a required component of a complete and systematic process to evaluate interested parties in order to minimize cost both to potentially interested parties and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Interested sources are also encouraged to submit product literature in response to this Sources Sought. Any submission of such product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Quote. Interested parties should provide a statement of interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 20 pages in length) to the Contracting Officers email listed below. No basis for claim against the Department of Veteran Affairs shall arise as a result of a response to these SOURCES SOUGHT or Government use of any information provided. Elaborate proposals or pricing information are neither required nor desired. Any innovative and new conceptual ideas to achieve the stated objective are encouraged. Do not simply click the interested box and not send anything to the Contracting Officer listed below. This doesn t help with the market research being conducted. At this time no solicitation document exists for this request for Sources Sought. This notice is for informational purposes only; it is not a request for proposals, nor should it be construed as a commitment by the Department of Veteran Affairs. The Department of Veteran Affairs will not pay for any effort expended into responding to this sources sought announcement.
