- The purpose of this amendment is to publish Vendor questions received by the Contracting Officer and the Answers that were provided by the requesting service in response to these questions. The questions below were received in a timely manner; no other questions will be considered after the publication of this amendment. Please see attached documents that include requested reports. Questions 1. Do you know how many sprinkler risers are in each of the listed buildings? 2. Do you know how many standpipes that you have in each of the listed buildings? 3. Will 5-year internal sprinkler investigations be part of this contract? It is a higher cost and would raise the price for the year these services are performed. 4. It states semi-annual and annual testing. Code requires quarterly testing as well in VA hospitals. Are you stating that you need 2 inspections a year or 4? 5. Do you know the incumbent contractor and the monetary value of the previous contract? 6. What is the size in GPM of fire Pump? Is pump electric or diesel? 7. Are there rooftop drains for the standpipes? Can water from standpipe testing be discharged on the roof? Does this testing need to be performed after normal hours? 8. How many FDC are to be inspected? 9. What is the estimate for the number of sprinkler heads in each building? 10. How many tamper switches, pressure switches and flow switches are to be tested? 11. Could we get an copy of the Annual inspection report for each of the 5 buildings requiring NFPA inspection? 12. Could we get a copies of the report for each of the 11 trailers Annual inspection report ? Answers Total for Main Building and Bed Tower: Risers 11 Total for Main Building and Bed Tower: Stand Pipes 15 5 year Test Required - Yes Semi- Annual and Annual Inspections, No Quarterly inspections Past Contractor - WW Gay Fire Protection Inc. Contract for one year - $19,650.00 Fire Pump size: Electric, 750 GPM Testing done during normal hours, no rooftop drains, water cannot be discharged on the roof.
