Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Combat Shotgun W15QKN-20-X-0ADX � The U.S. Army, Contracting Command-New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of the Project Manager Soldier Lethality (PMSL), located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ to identify potential firms with the capability of manufacturing and delivering a Combat Shotgun. The purpose of this market research is to identify and determine sources capable of manufacturing a Combat Shotgun compliant with MIL-S-3443G, MILITARY SPECIFICATION SHOTGUN 12 GAGE, RIOT-TYPE with 17� and 20� barrels. This market research is to determine if there are manufacturers capable of following a Government Specification and meeting a delivery requirement of 300 shotguns a month. For purposes of supplying the requested data in the following paragraphs, the Government anticipates a future contract to include contractor performed Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT). Firms/companies are invited to indicate their manufacturing capabilities and substantiate that they have experience and knowledge in manufacturing items of similar complexity to the Combat Shotgun. Submissions should include direct and recent information regarding vendors and in-house manufacturing capabilities. Vendors are asked to provide information to demonstrate their past work history along with the organization's technical and business qualifications. Specifically, vendors are asked to provide their experience and ability with manufacturing to a Government performance specification. Submissions can be in the form of specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers and rough indication of pricing. Any pricing data should be sent, if available, and at no cost to the USG. Planned Acquisition: The following is being provided for planning purposes in response to this request for information notice. Interested companies should submit the following business information: Company Name and Address Cage Code DUNs Number Company business size by NAIC code Small Business Type (s), if applicable Point of Contact for questions and/or clarification Point of contact telephone Number, fax number, and email address Web page URL Teaming partners (if applicable) � For each candidate shotgun model provide: Brochures or other information relative to the performance, maintenance, and physical characteristics (e.g., size, weight, etc.) of the product Specifications and descriptions Environmental performance, if available, including Shock sensitivity Vibration sensitivity Moisture sensitivity Operating temperatures Storage temperatures Altitude specifications Ambient temperature reliability/durability Corrosive salt environment Sand/dust environment Water submergence Etc. Whether the item is off-the-shelf ready, or in development Availability date of the shotgun Cost of the shotgun Any additional comments. � All information should be sent electronically. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information, sample hardware or administrative costs incurred in the response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future Request for Proposal (RFP) or other solicitation (if any are issued). This is a market survey, not a pre-solicitation notice. There is no formal solicitation available at this time. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. Should a formal solicitation be generated at a later date, a pre-solicitation notice will be published. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted. This market survey is for planning purposes only.
