Description

This solicitation is a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The VHA RPO-East Contract Office is seeking to purchase for the following and all interested companies shall provide quotation(s)for the following: Supplies Brand name or Equal to VarioskanTM LUX multimode microplate reader Characteristics: Plate reader that can measure absorbance over a range of wavelengths in the visible range (200 to 950 nM); UV range (230 to 260 nM fluorescence intensity, time-resolved fluorescence, absorbance, luminescence with high sensitivity, accuracy and timely fashion. Requirement for performing assays using both cuvettes and plate readers, (standard 6- to 1536-well microplates and 6- to 384-well plates in absorbance measurements), including using low volume samples (Nano liters), automated reagent dispenser, heating and cooling system with humidity control, temperature control, carbon dioxide and oxygen regulation with minimal evaporation. Designed for applications including ELISA, quantification of DNA, RNA and protein, transient expression assays, cell counting, BRET, confluency measurements, migratory ability of cells, would healing ability of cells, time resolved fluorescence, FRET, Fluorescence polarization, automated live cell imaging, counting and confluence in response to treatment with various drugs. Assays will be performed in real time over a period of time. Security clearance is not required. Vendors will not install, upgrade or access VA systems or VA patient sensitive information. The system is a stand-alone system not integrated with the VA IT.
