- Sources Sought Notice 36C24420Q0326 Brand Name or Equal Requirement - 3D Printer The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre- Solicitation or Solicitation document. The government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes or proposals at this time; however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. Background The Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA has a requirement for a Fused Deposition Modeling 3D Printer designed for a high capacity industrial manufacturing environment. The brand name reference is Fortus 450MC Gen II Preferred System Fused Deposition Modeling 3D Printer. Salient Characteristics 1. Color LCD Monitor with Optional USB Port 2. Ethernet Capability 3. Maximum Machine size: 50 W X 36 D X 78 H 4. Minimum printing/build envelope: 16 X 14 X 16 5. Weight: 1,325 lbs. 6. 208 VAC 3 phase 50/60 Hz, 18 amps 7. Heated build chamber 8. Control motors and gantry contained outside the heated build chamber for reliability and longevity 9. Minimum of 4 material bays (2 model/ 2 support) with automatic cannister change 10. Minimum 2 print heads for printing with model and support material, or multiple model materials 11. Capability to print/build layers in range from .005 - .013 for high resolution depending on material 12. Produce parts within an accuracy of � .127 mm (� .005 in.) or � .0015 mm/mm (� .0015 in/in), whichever is greater 13. Fused deposition modeling 3D printer complete standalone system with accessories capable of printing the following materials including, but not limited to: ABS-M30, ABS-M301, ABS-ESD7, ASA, PC-ISO, PC, PC-ABS, FDM Nylon 12, FDM Nylon 12 CF (Carbon Fiber), ST-130, ULTEM 9085 Resin, ULTEM 1010 Resin Scope of Work The vendor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described herein, including software and licenses for the life of the machine, and equipment operation and service manuals. The vendor shall remove and palletize the existing 3D Printer and set it aside. Machine start-up to include unpackaging, deposal of packaging materials, assembling any components, testing, and operational run as required by manufacturer. The vendor shall provide training for the software for a minimum of four (4) individuals with the manufacturer s recommendations. Delivery Delivery shall be coordinated with the Technical Point of Contact.
