- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.� THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION.� The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BNYM20Q00000003 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Asbestos Tile Removal and Epoxy Floor Installation at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) located in New York, New York. MCC New York is a federal correctional facility located at 150 Park Row, New York, NY 10007.� Work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope: SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment for the demolition and disposal of approximately 1436.5 ft2 of asbestos floor tile and all associated mastic of the seventh floor visiting areas and Facilities Office area. The floor tiles and all mastic shall be removed and replaced with a clear epoxy consisting of 100% solids.� The Statement of Work/Specifications attachment included with the solicitation will provide complete requirements for the project.� The solicitation will be posted at a later date. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $25,000 and $100,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range.� It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range).� The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238330 with a corresponding small business size standard of $16.5 million. The solicitation will be available approximately on or about March 20, 2020.� The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at www.beta.sam.gov.� Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available.� The website provides download instructions.
