Description

The Colorado Springs Municipal Airport is partnering with the USFS to construct a ramp that can support Very Large Air Tanker (VLAT) operations.� For this project, the�USFS will construct an operational building, retardant storage building, parking lot, and mixing/containment pad for retardant operations.� This contract requires construction of a new two-story operations building that is approximately 4,500 SF in size; a new parking lot to accommodate vehicles for employees as well as delivery of retardant; a new single-story 4,000 SF retardant storage building; and a mixing / containment pad for retardant operations.� The equipment within the mixing / containment pad is not included in this contract.� Work shall include all site preparation for the new buildings, re-grading the site, foundation construction for new buildings, electrical, telecommunications, and plumbing service to new buildings, new building construction, and construction of an access road from the existing road adjacent to the site, sidewalk grading/surfacing, and landscaping and irrigation.� It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or around April 16, 2020 to Beta.Sam.Gov.� The presolicitation meeting is anticipated to be on April 30, 2020 at the Colorado Springs Airport.� Details will be included in the solicitation.
