THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. �THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. �The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) �seeks to identify potential sources for a Fiber Optical Time (and/or Frequency) Domain Reflectometer for current and future fiber optic maintenance requirements. Hereafter, the acronym FOTDR will be used to represent both time and/or frequency domain options.� These measurement devices shall measure optical distance-to-fault for current and future fiber optic maintenance requirements. NAWCADLKE is seeking information from industry regarding FOTDR measurement devices. Please provide the following information about a FOTDR devices, or FOTDR technology that is either under development or that is a product supplied by your company / organization: We are requesting the following details: A general description of your FOTDR product / technology, and the projected turnaround for potential future acquisitions. � Identification of critical enabling technologies of your FOTDR. Include the technology readiness level (TRL) of your FOTDR product / technology and a summary of field usage, tests and demonstration results. � A description of the following three key features of your FODTR: �������������� Accuracy �������������� Measurement Range �������������� Instrument Resolution ��� 4. An overview of your FOTDR concept of operation (including the user operating manual if available). ��� 5. The power requirements of your FOTDR, i.e. battery and/or AC. ��� 6. The calibration requirements of your FOTDR. Discuss if there is a calibration procedure in place. ��� 7. The environmental test methods that your FOTDR has been subjected to, the results, and the� environmental thresholds that the FOTDR is approved to operate in (e.g. electromagnetic susceptibility or emissions, operating / storage temperature, humidity, altitude, and shock). ��� 8. The fiber connector/terminus interfaces your FOTDR can directly connect to OR if adaptors would be needed for a variety of connectors/termini. ��� 9. If applicable, provide customer testimonials with references. Provide your point(s) of contact. ��� 10. Provide information about your company / organization including: a brief description of your company / organization, small / large business status, 8A status, hub-zone status, veteran owned status, and any past or present Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards related to your FOTDR. ��� 11. Provide all product datasheet. ��� 12. Provide any additional information we should consider in this RFI. This RFI is issued for the purpose of determining market interest, feasibility, and capability of sources and does not constitute a request for proposal.� This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal.� No contract will be awarded from this announcement.� Information herein is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding upon the Government.� No reimbursement will be made of any costs to provide information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests.� Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced under a separate Commerce Business Daily announcement.� This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.� Each response must reference the �sources sought� title.� Responses should be sent via email to Mr. John Murtagh at john.c.murtagh@navy.mil.� Responses must be received no later than April 2, 2020 by 4 pm EST.
