- Description
- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center is hereby soliciting information about potential sources foran oxygen separation system (quantity 1). An oxygen separation system capable of extracting high purity oxygen from spacecraft cabin air. Energy efficiency and oxygen fire safety are important considerations for this application. NASA JSC is seeking information from industry for oxygen separation systems with the following requirements: Oxygen product purity is >99.99% Delivery rate is between 3 standard liters per minute and 15 standard liters per minute Specific power use is less than 150 Watts per liter-per-minute production rate. (e.g. a device that produces 10 standard liters per minute consumes less than 1500 Watts when operating under steady state conditions) System must be oxygen compatible and fire safe If your organization has the potential capacity to perform some or all contract services listed above, please provide the following information to the best of your ability. Partial responses are also accepted. Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, CAGE code, and size and type (e.g. large, small, women-owned) of ownership for the organization, and the number of years in business. Discuss your companys ability to meet all of the requirements listed above. If subcontracting or joint venture is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the anticipated administrative and management structure of such arrangements (if this information is known at this time). Also address what elements of work would be performed by the prime or joint venture and which elements would be performed by subcontractors. Provide a cost breakdown rough order of magnitude (ROM) and identify what items might be subject to significant variability and why. Your ROM information WILL NOT be made public, shared with incumbent contractor workforce, or shared outside of NASA. The cost of delivering (qty 1) oxygen separation system, and supporting documentation The delivery time for developing and delivering qty (1) system A description of the system Information about oxygen product purity Information about delivery rate Information about power use Information about materials of construction and their oxygen compatibility and fire safety Responses shall be provided in no more than 7 pages. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and there is no solicitation at this time. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals and submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred and the respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in beta.SAM.gov. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. If the Government issues a Request for Proposal (RFP), the government reserves the right to restrict the procurement to small businesses. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. All responses shall be submitted to Stacy Houston at stacy.g.houston@nasa.gov, no later than March 6, 2020, 4:30PM CT. Please reference 80JSC020O2SS in any response. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html.
