- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Acquisitions Management Services (AMS), Program Support Center (PSC) intends to negotiate a sole source award to Magellan Behavioral Health, Inc. for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to support Federal Occupational Health (FOH). FOH provides 24/7 national EAP services to Federal Customer agencies through interagency agreements (IAAs). It is essential that these services are uninterrupted with no break in service or delays. The Government is workingon a competitive solicitation to award a new contract for these services. This extension is needed to provide the services to bridge the gap between the award of the new contract and when the Authority to Operate (ATO) can be issued under the new contract. Magellan is the only Contractor that can provide the interim services without an ATO. This acquisition is for the modification of the existing Magellan contract number: HHSP233201400013C. The contract ceiling amount will be increased by approximately $15 million. The period of performance will be extended by sixteen (16) months including a six (6) month period, a seven (7) month option period, and three(3) one-month option periods. This award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive orders. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within seventeen (17) calendar days after the publication which shall be considered by the agency. Responses received after the response date or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The projected award date is May 1, 2020.
