Description
**PLEASE READ: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON THE DATE IDENTIFIED BELOW** Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about March 11, 2020. Description: The purpose of this project is to repair National Forest System Road 70. The primary work includes repairing failed pavement sections by removing the pavement and subgrade and rebuilding with a reinforced embankment (reinforced deep patches). The primary work items include removal of asphalt pavement, excavation of the subgrade, embankment construction, select borrow excavation, placement of roadway aggregate, placement of hot asphalt concrete, and erosion control. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and any necessary incidentals to accomplish work on this project. Location: The project sites are located along Forest Service Road 70, within the Goosenest Ranger District, on the Klamath National Forest. From Macdoel, CA head east on Alvarado Street toward Meiss Lake Road to take US-97 to West Ball Mountain Little Shasta Road. Continue on West Ball Mountain Little Shasta Rd. for 16 miles, to turn right onto project vicinity of Forest Service Road 70. Price Range: $250,000 - $500,000 FBO POSTING INFORMATION Estimated Start Date: May 05, 2020 Contract Completion Time: October 30, 2020 Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for small business. Bonds: A Bid guarantee is required with the offer. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful contractor within 10 days of award. Response Location: Offers will be accepted at the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Willows Office, located within the Mendocino National Forest Headquarters at 825 N. Humboldt Ave, Willows, CA 95988 NO LATER than date and time indicate on the solicitation.
