Beta.Sam.Gov Synopsis for RFP # FA8121-20-R-0023 The United States Air Force through the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at the Oklahoma City Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is contemplating procuring 4th Stage Air Seal Overhaul for the F100- PW-220 Air Craft Engine for the F-15 and F-16 platform. The requirement cited below is for a non-commercial, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Requirements type contract. Description: The requirement is for an Overhaul of the F100-PW-220 4th Stage Air Seal. The 4th Stage Air Seal is used in the F100-220/200E for the F-15 and F-16 platform. The contract will have a three-year basic and two one-year options. 1. RMC Code:� R1/C This requirement is for the overhaul of the 4th Stage Air Seal for the F100 engine program.� Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to award.� To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements.� The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARS).� Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible.� Sole Source: This effort is anticipated to be a sole source award to Chromalloy (CAGE: 0ALH8) as they are currently the only qualified source for this item.� Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207 (c) (15) (ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. NOTE:� An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.� The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.� When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of concern.� The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
