- Description
- SPECIAL NOTICE - Assurance and Verification of Vehicular Microelectronic Systems (AV2MS) The US Armys Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Ground System Vehicle System (GVSC), Ground System Cyber Engineering (GSCE) intends to issue a Request for Prototype Proposal (RFPP) for the procurement of Assurance and Verification of Vehicular Microelectronic Systems (AV2MS) under the Detroit Arsenal Automotive (DA2) Other Transaction Agreement (DA2 OTA), W56HZV-16-9-0001, with the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium (DATC). The DA2 OTA was awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2371b, Section 815 of the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act, P.L 114-92. The Government is seeking a prototype to verify and validate the functionality of the hardware, software or firmware operation without degrading the vehicles designed functionality. The AV2MS prototype shall operate with a real-time constraint. The AV2MS prototype shall be demonstrated on an existing military platform, with the intent of integration into a US Army Next Generation Combat Vehicle (NGCV) platform. An AV2MS prototype can be defined as a system that shall include the identification and presentation of threat mitigation strategies of compromised hardware, software or firmware that shall not degrade the vehicles designed functionality when the vehicle is in a powered-on state defined as the state of electrical flow through circuitry allowing for logic flow to occur. The AV2MS prototype shall be integrated into a vehicle by taking Size, Weight and Power Cost (SWaP-C) into consideration. This prototype project will produce AV2MS prototypes for ground vehicle platforms to increase cybersecurity capabilities and maximize system survivability and force protection. This requirement seeks to identify next generation and currently underutilized technologies to identify threats and propose mitigation strategies presented from compromised hardware, software or firmware without degrading the vehicles designed functionality on military ground vehicle platforms. There will be no follow-on production project agreement/OTA should this Special Notice result in a RFPP and project award. NOTE: This Special Notice is for informational purposes only. A prototype project will not be awarded in response to this RFPP announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the DATC, and industry in general, advanced notification of the Government's intent to release a RFPP to the DATC membership. For questions regarding joining DATC, please visit http://datc.saeitc.org or contact Mr. David M. Porreca, Executive Director, DATCExecutiveDirector@sae-itc.org. The Government Point of contact is Agreements Specialist Dave Patti, david.m.patti4.civ@mail.mil. Place of Performance: 6501 EAST 11 Mile Road Detroit Arsenal, MI 48397 United States
