- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT, A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.� NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.� NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED REQUESTING AN RFQ PACKAGE OR SOLICITATION.� THERE IS NO RFQ PACKAGE OR SOLICITATION.� IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE PROCUREMENT INTEGRITY OF ANY FUTURE PROCUREMENT, IF ANY, THAT MAY ARISE FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, INFORMATION REGARDING THE TECHNICAL POINT OF CONTACT WILL NOT BE GIVEN AND NO APPOINTMENTS FOR PRESENTATIONS WILL BE MADE. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Office of the Center Director has issued this sources sought announcement on behalf of the Office of Center Director in order to determine if there are existing small business sources capable of providing Preventative Maintenance Contract for a Thermo Fisher Quanta 200 FEG Microscope SN#D7739/F0413551.� Though the target audience is small business vendors or small businesses capable of supplying a U.S. service of small business vendor or producer all interested parties may respond.� If your firm is considered a small business source under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811219 � Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance; with a Small Business Size Standard of $20.5 Million, and believe your firm would be able to provide the USDA with the� supplies/services described below, please submit an email to Regina.Dennis@usda.gov.� The vendor should include information about the company and demonstrate that it can meet the minimum requirements. Companies who have the capabilities and experience necessary should submit a Capabilities Statement demonstrating the company's expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified in this notice. Company Point of �Contact, Phone and Email Address Teaming Arrangements:� All teaming arrangements should also include the above-cited information and certifications for each entity on the proposed team. Background:� The USDA/OCD has a need for a Preventative Maintenance Contract for a Thermo Fisher Thermo Fisher Quanta 200 FEG Microscope SN#D7739/F0413551.� The FEI Quanta 200F scanning electron microscope is used to observe the surfaces of objects. Our laboratory serves scientists at Eastern Regional Research Center. We observe bacteria, proteins, agricultural products, catalysts, leather and other samples. Minimum Performance Requirements: The Contractor shall provide one (1) scheduled preventative (PM) visit per year (includes all required labor, travel, and parts coverage) The Contractor shall provide 4 hour targeted telephone support. The Contractor shall provide OEM dedicated replacement parts. The Contractor shall provide 48-hour targeted onsite labor response The Contractor shall provide unlimited labor hours (including travel time and expenses). The Contractor shall provide all necessary spare parts (including all accessories listed on the contract) The Contractor shall provide replacement FEG tip (for applicable products) Period of Performance: Base Year:� 03/10/2020 � 03/09/2021 Option Year 1:� 03/10/2021 � 03/09/2022 Option Year 2:� 03/10/2022 � 03/09/2023 Place of Performance:� United States Department of Agriculture, ARS Eastern Regional Research Center, Office of Center Director 600 East Mermaid Lane Wyndmoor, PA� 19038
