Description

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and supplies to perform all work required to plant dove fields and fall wildlife openings. The total area to be planted is approximately 92 acres. The acreage consists of 26 acres being planted each spring and 66 acres being planted each fall. The contractor shall prepare all fields for planting, fertilize all fields and plant all fields according to the instructions listed below. All work for spring plantings will be accomplished between April 1st through July 1st All work associated with the fall plantings will be accomplished from September 25th through December 1st. Due to access restrictions for fall planting locations it may be necessary for contractor to perform some if not all of the work on weekends and holidays. A report shall be submitted in July and December documenting status of all areas that were planted to the COR. Dove fields (C16, C51, and S44) are planted with both millet and wheat each year. Areas planted in wheat will be alternated with areas planted in millet annually. Due to this rotation of crops the acreage of millet and wheat will vary slightly from year to year, but overall planting acreage will remain the same.
