New technologies for fabricating rocket components are currently being developed under the Eternal Quiver program and advanced temperature measurement capabilities are needed to evaluate the efficacy of these new processes and procedures. Use of traditional surface temperature monitoring techniques (e.g. contact methods such as thermocouples) with these novel manufacturing processes have proven to be limiting in terms of capability and reliability due to difficulties in adhesion of thermocouples and the need for full object surface data acquisition. ***** Infrared Cameras must meet the following additional requirements***** 1. Viewable Temperature Range: 0-350 degrees C 2. Mid-wave Spectral Range: 3-5 micron 3. Spatial Resolution: 640x512 pixels 4. Minimum Frame Rate: 100Hz 5. Camera controller to be included with the IR camera 6. Ability to export/process raw data real-time through to other software and equipment 7. Ability to measure surface temperature data on objects up to 12 inches in diameter and 120 inches in length
