- 1.0 GOALS OF THIS RFI 1.1 Introduction United States Coast Guard (USCG) Special Missions Training Center (SMTC) is seeking pricing information from interested vendors to complete routine maintenance/inspections/test seven pieces of weight handling equipment; Four Stackers, One JIB Crane, One Bridge Crane, One Load Rotator. Annual inspection is to be completed in accordance with 29 CFR Standard Number 1910.181. 1.2 Purpose The primary focus of this request is ensure all seven pieces of weight handling equipment are in compliance with OSHA and Coast Guard Policy. 1.3. Location � USCG SMTC Courthouse Bay Building BB329 Camp Lejeune, NC 28542 1.4 The Government agrees to provide the vendor access to the work site for delivery and servicing between the normal working hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. Requested services outside these hours is subject to contracting officer approval. 1.5 Scope of Work Complete annual assessment, routine maintenance, and load testing.� The contractor will ensure the items are serviced to include; required lubrication in accordance with manufacture recommendations, provide certified weights for test. Provide inspection Labels, service reports, load test certificates, and safety notifications prior to returning equipment to fully operational status after completion of work. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supplies or services. Further, the IRS is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. 3.0 SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES Vendors MUST provide responses for the following information, in the requested sequence: 1. Vendor shall provide pricing information along with description on how to accomplish the requested service. Responses must be submitted complete and in writing. All requests for information in all sections of this document must be answered as concisely as possible while providing all information necessary to understand the process. Any deviations from requirements, or requirements that cannot be satisfied by the vendor, must be clearly identified. Responses must include a statement that indicates that the vendor understands the requirements of the RFI and accepts the terms and conditions under which the RFI was issued to the vendor. Responses to this notice shall be submitted electronically to john.h.caicedo@uscg.mil no later than 4:00 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 EST. All emails submissions must be less than 5MB.� Vendors may provide links to relevant websites, as appropriate. NOTE: Extensions to the responses due date cannot be granted. Any information of a confidential or proprietary nature contained in a vendor response should be clearly marked 'PROPRIETARY' or 'CONFIDENTIAL' by item or at the top of each page. Reasonable precautions will be taken to safeguard any part of the response identified by a vendor as being confidential or proprietary. All responses, once delivered, become the property of USCG. 4.0 QUESTIONS Questions regarding this RFI shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to John H. Caicedo, john. H.caicedo@uscg.mil 5.0 SUMMARY THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to identify sources that can provide USCG Special Missions Training Center the required service. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The Government has not made a commitment to procure any of the RFI requirements discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
