Description
Purchase an Aluminum Boat with Motors for Navajo Dam Maintenance Facility The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region has a requirement to purchase an Aluminum Boat with Motors and Trailer Navajo Dam. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Parts 13and 36 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a 100% small business set aside. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The principal components of the work are listed under the project description below. The intent of this solicitation is for a contractor to provide a new boat with motors and trailer for the Navajo Dam Facility that meets the provided specifications listed in the solicitation package. An updated vessel is required to assist the Navajo Dam Maintenance Facility staff perform various duties including reservoir substrate sampling, facility dive inspections, biologic surveys, shoreline archaeology surveys, shoreline geohazard surveys (landslides), maintenance and general facilities inspections. These inspections and surveys are performed yearlong and every month the boat is on the water. Navajo Lake is 35 miles long and the personnel performing the inspections and surveys must ensure that everyone onboard the vessel is safe, and work is done in a scientifically accurate method. The current boat is beyond its expected life cycle and requires replacement. It is necessary for the continued performance of these duties that Navajo Dam�s current inventory of outdated equipment be replaced. NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this project is 336612 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The release date for the final and formal solicitation number 140R4020Q0029 is February 2020. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor this announcement for updates and the release of the solicitation documents. The solicitation documents for this procurement will be accessible from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov.
