- Description: The United States Coast Guard Sector New Orleans anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Sunbelt Rentals INC for the lease of a rooftop 25 ton HVAC Unit. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) or 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(2), and pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-2, an ""Unusual and Compelling Urgency"" exists. The temporary HVAC Unit is permanently fixed to the building. Companies who were contacted informed Sector New Orleans that the existing/ permanently fixed HVAC system would have to be completely removed including all duct work and wiring. A delay in procuring a temporary or new HVAC unit in the hot environment will lead to a catastrophic failure. This procurement will be made on behalf of Sector New Orleans. NAICS Code # 532490 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 1500 CST 28 Feb 2020 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions concerning this notice must be submitted in writing the Contracting Officer, email address is: Jamy.R.Pickett@uscg.mil. The solicitation is restricted to: Sunbelt Rentals INC Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to Sunbelt Rentals INC.
