- Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) (1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Branch, Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price award under solicitation W81K0220Q0051 to Propio LS, LLC., in the amount of $70,550.80 for a (1) year Base, with 2 available Option Years for Foreign Language & Document Translation Services at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma WA. �This renewal of services is required as part in communicating with patients of different languages & which clearly provides interpretation for providers, and healthcare staff, in part of the patient treatment and diagnosis process, along with the ability to translate medical documents of the patients medical history pertinent to ongoing care.� There are 16 locations within the Madigan Healthcare System (MHS) that currently have this service in use which includes the usage of vendor proprietary telephonic equipment and hardware that was previously purchased by Madigan for its use, as part of the current contractor that is necessary with this vendor.� A disruption of this service would directly inhibit the Madigan providers from communicating with their patients causing undue risk to patient treatment outcomes and health, and extensive costs & lost time if another vendor was selected as current telephonic systems may not be able to be used.
