Description
SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Backplane Assembly, NSN 5998014512520EW, PN 333447-003 and Amplifier/Detector, Log Video, PN 330290-101.� ITEM DESCRIPTION The AN/ALR-56M is a system used on the F-16 and C-130J.� The Backplane Assembly (5998014512520EW) is a component of the Analysis Processor LRU 5 which accepts and processes data from these LRUs for thereat determination and responds with data that enable receiver tuning.� The Video Amplifier (5996013655065EW) is a component of the Super heterodyne Controller LRU 6 which receives the baseband CVR signals and depending upon the power apply the resultant (video) output to LOG/SPU Board Assembly A10A4 of the video processor section as SPULOG (video) signals between (+0.1 and +1.0) volts. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for these items are BAE (CAGE 81413), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, BAE is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the AN/ALR-56M performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.� INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to government for the manufacture of the Backplane Assembly and Video Amplifier in support of the AN/ALR-56M RWR program.� Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than SSS closing date by emailing jared.pitts.5@us.af.mil and dla.dlr.proc@us.af.mil. �The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
