Description

In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2), this is a notice of intent to award a sole-source order. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. The USCG Sector Corpus Christi intends to solicit, negotiate and award on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed price purchase order to acquire training for Port Executive Management Program. The requirement is training at the Principle Place of Performance at USCG MSU Pittsburgh, 1041 Washington Pike, STE 300, Bridgeville, PA 15017-2704. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements�. It has been determined that The International Association of Maritime and Port Executives is the only company with the infrastructure in place to train MSU Pittsburgh. Other options were considered, however, certificate program curriculum was not aligned with required U.S. ports and waterways course of instruction. The selected program meets service needs within one week and can be held in other than a classroom setting required by other programs. The solicitation Number for reference only is: 23202508TC040. There is no Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 611430. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
