Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The purpose of this action is to provide the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border protection�s (CBP) notice of intent to issue a sole source Bridge Contract to continue P-3 Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Services for a total of 12 months with a Base Period of 6 months and one Option Period of 6 months. ��This contract will allow a continuation of vital services until the competitive follow-on contract is awarded and transition is completed. These services consist of a continuation of P-3 aircraft �maintenance and logistics services necessary to ensure that the Government has the P-3 aircraft available where and when required to meet the Government�s operational commitments in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). The nature of the work ranges from depot level and site maintenance, to material and inventory management, and engineering service. The sustainment of aircraft readiness in support of CBP�s law enforcement and security missions is required to continue to achieve the strategic goals and homeland security missions set forth by the 2014 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Quadrennial Homeland Security Review (QHSR), which are to: Prevent terrorism and enhance security Secure and manage our borders Enforce our immigration laws Strengthen national preparedness and resilience � The anticipated contract period will be from April 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020 for the Base Period; with an opportunity for a 6 month Option to Extend the Term of the Contract in accordance with FAR 52.217-9. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bids. The Justification and Approval will be posted in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
