- STATEMENT OF WORK FOR Five Year Internal Sprinkle Pipe Inspection and Fire Department Connection Hydrostatic Testing Beckley VA Medical Center 200 Veterans Avenue Beckley, WV 25801 A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The Beckley VA Medical Center has a fully-sprinklered Basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd Floor, 4th Floor, 5th Floor, 6th floor and Penthouse totaling 276,861 sq. ft. Building 8 is fully-sprinklered and consists of 4,700 sq ft. Building 6 basement is sprinklered and is 1,000 sq ft and building 7 upper level is sprinklered and is 1,200 sq. ft. Perform hydrostatic testing on fire department connections on building 1 (3), building 35 (2), building 7 (1), Building 8 (1) and Building 13 (2). All sprinkler systems must be inspected internally per NFPA guidelines. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and personnel to perform this task, including but not limited to, all transportation, certification equipment, and all other materials necessary to complete this task. Contractor shall provide an individual(s) who is adequately trained and certified and capable of performing this service. Training, certifications and qualification documentation must be provided before work begins. B. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall perform 5 year interval testing of the facility fire suppression sprinkler system according to NFPA 25 requirements for building 1 and building 8. Perform hydrostatic testing on fire department connections on building 1 (3), building 35 (2), building 7 (1), Building 8 (1) and Building 13 (2). Contractor will notify the facility before departure of any devices that are not properly certified and inspected. Hours of Work; Contractor shall perform work during hours that minimize impact to facility operations, and patient care. Patient care areas that may require vendor access, may be required outside of normal business hours at the sole discretion of the government. END OF STATEMENT OF WORK
