Description

In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2), this is a notice of intent to award a sole-source order. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. The USCG Base New Orleans intends to solicit, negotiate and award on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed price purchase order to acquire Internet Access Subscription from Spectrum / Time Warner. The requirement is a subscription for the Principle Place of Performance at USCG Sector / Air Station Corpus Christi, 249 Glasson Drive, Corpus Christi, TX. 78406. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements�. It has been determined that Spectrum / Time Warner is the only company with the infrastructure in place to service the Corpus Christi International Airport area. Other options were considered, however, location for requirement(s) is in a General Service Administration (GSA) leased facility which does not allow for satellite dishes fixed to the building, or in the vicinity of the facility. The solicitation Number for reference only is: 21202908CC001. There is no Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 517311. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
