- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.� The solicitation number is 12405B20Q0016 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).� The NAICS code is 115116 Farm Services. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-04. The USDA, ARS, Sustainable Water Management Research Unit (SWMRU) at Stoneville, MS. intends to award a firm fixed price contract for farm support services, as per attached Statement of Work (SOW).� Farm support services will need to be provided to perform field work for Cotton, such as planting cover crop, shredding stalks, rowing up soil, planting, side dress fertilizer, harvesting using a cotton picker, spraying herbicide, spraying insecticide, applying fertilizer, scouting and consulting, maintaining grass, levees, ditches, and roads, installing furrow poly-pipe for furrow irrigation.� Filed work will also need to be provided for Soybeans such as rowing up soil, planting, harvesting with yield monitor, soybean hauling, spraying herbicide, spraying insecticide, applying fertilizer, scouting and consulting, maintaining grass, levees, ditches and roads, installing poly-pipe for furrow irrigation.�� All work is to be performed at various field locations near the Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center (JWDSRC) located in Stoneville, Mississippi.� Questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email at huron.virden@usda.gov No telephone inquiries will be honored. Site Visit: A site visit has been scheduled on February 20, 2020 at 1:30 pm central time, at the USDA-ARS-SEA-JWDSRC, 141 Experiment Station Road, Stoneville, MS. 38776-0225.� Visitors should come to the main lobby located in the five-story building.
